VOLUNTEERING DURING COVID-19
We value our volunteers! Below are the different ways Volunteers can help our non-profit organization during the pandemic. These options are virtual or comply with social distancing guidelines.
CORPORATE COMPANY VOLUNTEERING: Please contact Imna at office@womenscenterforheaing.org for future scheduling.
INTERNS (virtual options are available): The Women's Center provides unpaid internships to college students in the fields of study of counseling/social work, business, marketing, philanthropy, or other degrees related to non-profit organizations. We work with many colleges and universities to provide college credit for internships. Internships are also open to those in need of work experience, work references and letters of recommendation. For more information, email Imna at office@womenscenterforhealing.org

Current Volunteer Positions Available
Online Outreach Team: Tech-savvy individuals can help our organization with social media content, blogs, graphic design, online scrapbooking, sharing content, and virtual networking.
Committee Members: Volunteer to serve on a committee. Several committees are already working on various projects and could use more members. Contact us to find out how your areas of interest can best fit in with our committee openings.
Library Assistants: Our free library serves the community with literary resources for women. We host a large collection of female author books. We are currently seeking books on Racial Justice, Healing Arts and Women's Wellness. Copies of White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo are needed, as we have ongoing book studies for this book. Contact the office to arrange a donation drop-off or to assist in securing bookstore gift cards to purchase books.
Green Thumb Gardeners: At this time we cannot have groups at the center to garden, however, individuals can make arrangements with the office to individually help with tasks such as trimming hedges, weed eating, pulling weeds from sections of the garden, spraying weeds, and laying mulch.
Blessings Box: Volunteers can stop by the blessings box, check and dispose of expired food, clean the box, and donate food items, if able.
We have an Amazon wish list of items needed for reopening and during covid-19. Browse our wish list here:
