All Are Welcome!
Live Virtual Media presentation and talk by Catalina Reyna

Violeta Parra was a Chilean song writer, singer, activist, folklorist, mother, artist and more. Her life is inspirational and intriguing. This presentation will use her most iconic song as a teaching tool that provides an opportunity to learn some Spanish vocabulary.

Presenter Catalina Reyna is a native of Mexico City who migrated to the U.S. when a Water Treatment Company based in California extended her a full time job offer. She is a Biochemical Engineer with two young adult children. The whole family moved to Louisiana as if it were meant to be: from L.A. to LA in 2012. She joined Paso de Oro dance group in 2008 and has not stopped dancing since then. Catalina has been presenting cultural talks since 2005. From 2016 to 2018, Catalina was a Women’s Center board member.
