Tara Ivankovich, MSW, LCSW, CDWF, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who offers in-person or virtual individual psychotherapy, groups, and workshops.

Tara is a retired military veteran and graduated Cum Laude from both Upper Iowa University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and Tulane University School of Social Work, where she received her Master’s degree in Social Work. She is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator based on the work of Dr. Brene’ Brown, which focuses on cultivating courage and shame resilience.

Tara practices with a multidisciplinary approach. She draws from experiential, person-centered, and strength-based methods. Experiential therapy, one of the approaches that Tara finds most effective, combines traditional talk therapy with creative tools such as props, role-playing, and psychodrama. Experiential therapy actively helps us move from head to heart through activities, allowing us to connect to emotions that may be otherwise inaccessible.

Tara believes that therapeutic approaches are not "one size fits all". She meets her clients wherever they may be emotionally, and works closely with them to explore and realize their treatment goals.

Tara is available in-person and/or virtually and accepts BlueCross BlueShield, and TRICARE insurances. Sliding scale is also available for private paying clients.

If you are interested in scheduling a free consultation with Tara, please email her at TaraCDWF@gmail.com or call 504-332-8675.
