Holistic Veterinary Medicine - Janice Posey, DVM
Learn how holistic veterinary medicine balances, heals and nurtures your pet from the inside out with increased quality of life and a sense of well-being. Veterinary holistic healing offers a holistic, integrative approach to healing your beloved pet through acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional supplements, and food therapy.  Dr. Janice E. Posey received her D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She then studied with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1996-1997 and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist. She also has studied Chinese Herbal Formulas and Food Therapy at the Chi Institute over the past 10 years, the use of which highly enhances acupuncture results. These modalities allow animal patients to be healed in a safe, non-invasive, nurturing manner, resulting in a feeling of relaxation and well-being.

Benefits of Mindfulness - Elaine Pote
An introductory class in which you’ll learn what mindfulness is, how to incorporate it into everyday life, and the cost of a hectic way of living. We’ll discuss mindfulness and meditation and their myriad health, psychological, emotional and interpersonal relationship benefits, followed by practicing together by sitting for a 15-minute “Guided Meditation.” Elaine Pote has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for many years. She practices in the Plum Village tradition introduced to the United States by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Elaine has lived a life of spiritual quests. Raised Baptist, she was introduced to faith and devotion at an early age, but there was always something lacking. Embracing mindfulness and meditation practices has shown her an essential sign leading her onward in this spiritual journey. No longer lost, she's found a means of living with herself today, in this present moment. She finds that her life is calmer and more meaningful when lived in the present moment.

Body Positive - Natalie Justice
In this class, we'll explore ideas that promote a peaceful relationship with our bodies and develop a weight-neutral, health-centered approach to self-care. The benefit gained from uncovering distorted societal myths about health and weight is that we become the authority of our own bodies and experience freedom to focus on our soul’s purpose. Natalie had an eating disorder as a teenager and experienced a complete recovery. She’s been working in the fitness/nutrition industry for 30 years. She is a certified Health and Nutrition Coach, a Personal Trainer, Lifestyle Fitness Coach and Licensed Body Positive Facilitator. Her Health Coach certification is with the NDP (National Diabetes Prevention Program) and her nutrition certification is with Precision Nutrition. Her personal training certification is with NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association). Natalie also has a pastoral degree and has served as a minister and hospice chaplain in tandem with being a coach.

Why Is It So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism? - Catherine Williams, M.A.
An experiential workshop using a range of expressive modalities. Drawing from the work of Robin DiAngelo in her book White Fragility, we will explore a range of defensive reactions that hinder constructive dialogue and prevent racial healing. There will be opportunities to explore ways to become less reactive and more resilient. Designed particularly for white people. Catherine Williams has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Drama Therapy. Committed to racial healing and social justice, she is on the Racial Healing Committee at the Women’s Center for Healing & Transformation. For over 30 years she has led workshops integrating visual arts, movement and drama. Her love is to support authentic self-expression and connection to embodied presence - in the service of learning, self-awareness and collective healing.

Grabbing the Unicorn By Its Horn!: Maintaining Emotional and Mental Wellness While Living As “The Other” - Amber Picou-Broadnax, Ed.D.
Do you remember when you realized you were different? It was not a positive experience, but you “muscled” through. How do we take those experiences, turn them around and make them lessons of self-empowerment? How do we maintain that sense of personal power, instead of letting the constant bombardment of negativity (racism, sexism, ableism, heteroism, etc.) drag us back to feelings of inadequacy or self doubt. Dr. Amber Picou-Broadnax is an educator, community organizer and consultant on women's and girls' issues. She has provided education, resources and programs to women in prison, on college campuses, in high schools, and in her local community. Dr. Amber has presented at several local and national conferences on various women's issues, such as women of color in leadership, bystander intervention and ethnic identity development among female leaders. She is the former director of a college campus women’s center based in southern California and former Co-Director of the Women’s Center for Healing & Transformation. Currently she leads Amber Picou Consulting which offers programs for women, girls, boys and young men. She is also Co-Director of The Collective Steps Project, a non-profit focused on the mental health and wellness of Black women and girls in St. Tammany and Orleans Parishes.

Transitional Detachment - Lisa Sigsworth, RN, CHPN, CHI
Transitional Detachment is letting go of your goals at the end of life or at the end of a period of time in your life. We are a goal-oriented society. Holding onto old goals or goals that no longer suit you, keeps you from moving forward in your life as well as at the end if your life. Hypnosis is the vehicle to allow you to bring these old goals up and release them. Releasing them will allow you to move on to the next level of your life. This session is a must-see! By the end of the class, you will be able to identify old goals that no longer suit your needs.  You will understand how to release those goals and you will have the ability to set new goals! Lisa Sigsworth is a Registered Nurse with over 26 years’ experience in the field of hospice. She is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse as well as a certified master level hypnotist and hypnosis instructor. Lisa is an international presenter in goal release, Transpersonal Meditation, Transitional Detachment and Hypnosis at the end of life.

Climate Change: It's Personal - Patricia Stout
Does climate change keep you up at night? Or are you still in denial but feel it wearing thin? Perhaps you alternate between being deeply affected and terrified to think about it. Join Patricia Stout for a look at the interface between mental health, Mother Earth's well-being, and the science of social change. We will explore how to care of ourselves while heeding Earth's cry. We’ll look at effective movements for social change as well as spiritual aspects of changing our ways of relating to Earth, even if it might be too late to stop the major extinction we’re currently in. Patricia Stout is a holistic social worker focusing on the interface between inner and outer healing and transformation. A major impetus for her facilitating the opening of the Women’s Center is her belief that the rise of feminine consciousness can help reduce war and improve our relationship with the body of Mother Earth. She presented at Belonging to Mother Earth, Indigenous Wisdom and Healing, an international conference, and began studying transpersonal psychology in 1989, which includes how our individual pathology relates to the pangs of birthing a new consciousness for all of humanity. When she was a child, she feared that all the trees would be gone by the time she grew up.
