Sierra Club: How Poor Development Impacts Flooding in St. Tammany
Thursday, June 13
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
at the Women's Center
Come join us for a lively discussion of why there is so much more flooding in St. Tammany than in the past and what can be done to help those of us who already live here and have invested in our homes and businesses.
Development and people coming into the parish are realities, but what doesn’t need to be our new reality is the consequences of poor development practices. In past administrations, developers were allowed to set the standards - foxes guarding the henhouse! Development will happen, but the Parish needs to be the one setting the standards to help alleviate issues such as flooding which have multiplied because of the past bad development practices. Light refreshments will be provided. Open to all.
This is a free event. Space is limited.
Please register to save your spot!
The event will be held at the Women's Center in the Great Room.
