Before they turn 18, one in six boys and one in four girls experience some form of sexual abuse. Given these alarmingly high numbers, it’s not unlikely a survivor of sexual trauma may disclose to you in your lifetime. Be prepared. Learn the skills that will allow you to handle such a situation with care.

This interactive training will teach you to:
  • Define sexual violence
  • Identify types and impacts of sexual violence
  • Recognize community causes of sexual violence
  • Discuss solutions to sexual violence
In addition, you will build skills in these areas:
  • Identify barriers to survivors disclosing experiences of sexual trauma
  • Identify different types of disclosures of sexual trauma
  • Apply communication techniques for believing and supporting survivors who disclose experiences of sexual violence
  • Comply with basic mandated reporting requirements as it relates to disclosures of sexual trauma
Cost: $45
Online registration and pre-payment required.

Space is limited. Register early to save your spot.
