​The Racial Healing Group of the Women's Center presents a free screening and discussion of 13th: From Slave to Criminal with One Amendment, a documentary film by Ava DuVernay, director of Selma.

Ms. DuVernay “demonstrates that slavery has been perpetuated in practices since the end of the American Civil War through such actions as criminalizing behavior and enabling police to arrest poor freedmen and force them to work for the state under convict leasing.” -Wikipedia
 
The free film and discussion are open to both women and men. 
Seating is limited, so please register to reserve your place.
