Mindfulness Meditation Self-Care Practices

Meeting each week for 4 weeks on Zoom

Another meditation opportunity still available that you may wish to visit is our weekly Zen meditation on Mondays at noon - more info here. Beginners as well as experienced meditators are welcome.

This four-week course will offer students various mindfulness practices that are particularly suited to easing stress and strengthening self-care. The course is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators. Open to all genders. The class will be closed to new participants after the first meeting.
 
Each 75-minute class will include a short talk, guided mediation practice, and a question and answer period. Topics covered include:
  • Coming into Loving Presence by Slowing Down,
  • Compassion for the Self and Others,
  • RAIN (a practice for working with challenging emotions), and
  • Gratitude Practice.

Please note: Attendance at all four of the classes is recommended.

This co
urse is being given as part of the instructor's fulfillment of her coursework for the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.

Diana Klein
Diana Klein has been studying meditation and spiritual practices for over twenty years. In the last decade, she has found mindfulness meditation invaluable, not only in expanding everyday joy, but also in responding skillfully to physical and emotional challenges. She is currently a student in The Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She expects to be certified in February 2021.

Suggested fee: A donation of $5-10 per class is suggested and will go to the Women’s Center to enable us to continue offering quality programs such as this one. Diana is donating her time.
