Manifesting from the Heart: Cacao Ritual and Meditation
Saturday, October 15, 2022
4:00 - 6:00 pm
Held in the Women's Center Great Room
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED
Registration closes Thursday, Oct 13 at 9:00 pm
Cacao, the purest form of chocolate, was once revered in Mayan traditions for its powerful ability to heal and open the heart, manifest desires, and create connection. It is a gift from nature that is connected to the heart chakra. When we are sad we reach for chocolate. When we are joyful we reach for chocolate. We offer it to others and ourselves as a means to show love. Now, during this transitional time for the Women's Center, we will honor the role of cacao in guiding a process of transformation and healing. We will turn to ritual and Spirit to manifest not only our own intentions, but also the intentions for the Women's Center as a community.
In this session, we will: create a sacred space for ourselves and each other; offer numerous gratitudes to the earth, our ancestors, and teachers; and plant the seeds of intention for ourselves and the Women's Center. We will drink a small dosage (1.5 oz) of pure cacao (an espresso-strength hot chocolate), which can facilitate calm and harmony, release, and connection to the flow of energy into and through the heart. We will use meditation to more fully listen to the guidance of Spirit, open, and heal.
What Our Time Together Will Include:
Dana (Sanskrit for 'Generosity'): $35 suggested donation to help sustain the Women's Center. Sliding scale to $25. Donations of larger amounts are greatly appreciated (This is a fundraising event and all proceeds will go the the Center.)
