Picture
Saturday, November 9
12:00 - 1:30 pm

Presented by Ashle' Harris

“Breaking the Cycle” is an interactive workshop to raise awareness about the hidden truths of domestic violence. There will be discussions about how domestic violence affects women, men, and the LGBTQIA+ population. Also, educational information will be provided about safety planning, resources, warning signs, escaping, and how to help a loved one.

About the Speaker: Ashle’ Harris is a twenty-one-year-old survivor of domestic violence and child abuse. She is a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University and is currently studying Social Work. After graduation, she plans on attending LSU for her Master’s in Social Work. Ashle’ hopes to use her own experiences and knowledge from school to inform people about domestic violence and create a safer environment for all.
