"Labyrinth of Giving" Food Drive

Picture
Saturday, December 12
12:00 - 4:00 pm

A Food Drive with a Twist!

The Women’s Center for Healing & Transformation will host a "Food Labyrinth of Giving" at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 4499 Sharp Road in Mandeville (map)

Walking a labyrinth is an ancient spiritual practice used for prayer, reflection and meditation. As we reflect on this past year and the many difficulties experienced by our friends, family and neighbors,  we want to help. We will begin collecting canned goods in November. There will be donation bins at local businesses in Mandeville, Abita Springs, Slidell areas. See list of approved locations below.

On Saturday, December 12, the collected cans will be used to construct a labyrinth at St. Michael's Episcopal Church on Sharp Road in Mandeville. The labyrinth will be open to everyone to walk any time between 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Bring a donation item and walk the labyrinth.

The donations will be boxed and delivered to Northshore Food Bank. Northshore Food Bank serves residents of St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.
