Saturday mornings
May 9 – June 20
9:00 - 10:15 am
(No class on May 23)

THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL AND CLOSED TO NEW PARTICIPANTS. IF INTERESTED, EMAIL US TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND NOTIFIED IF ANOTHER CLASS IS OFFERED IN THE FUTURE.

This six-week course will provide beginners with an overview of mindfulness meditation—what it is, why it is helpful, and how to do it. Open to all genders.

Each 75-minute class will include a short talk, guided mediation practice, and a question and answer period. Topics covered include: sitting and walking mediation, awakening presence in the body, working with thoughts and emotions, lovingkindness practice, and mindfulness in daily life.

Please note: Attendance at all six of the classes is highly recommended as each class builds on those previous.

This course is being given as part of the instructor's fulfillment of her coursework for the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.

Diana Klein has been studying meditation and spiritual practices for over twenty years. In the last decade, she has found mindfulness meditation invaluable, not only in expanding everyday joy, but also in responding skillfully to physical and emotional challenges. She is currently a student in The Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She expects to be certified in February 2021.
