Holistic Addiction Recovery
Looking to get more out of clean and sober living? You deserve it, and it IS possible!
Join us for a professionally facilitated online addiction recovery workshop. It has two modules/sessions for those recovering from substance abuse or other types of addictions, as well as a module dedicated to the family.
Who is this for?
The first two sessions and extra optional process groups go together and are custom-made for people of all genders who have already stopped the compulsive behavior such as drinking, using, etc for at least continuous six months (or for many years), who have a support system, and if needed, are being treated for any mental health issues that can complicate recovery. Open to all, ages 17 and up.

You know it’s for you if are in recovery and any of these apply:
boredom, restlessness, struggling with intimacy or self-care, not sure how to be your authentic self or access your creativity, need to be more grounded, dealing with other compulsive behaviors…or if you simply want to develop more compassion and mindfulness in the present moment and enjoy a better quality of life and relationships.
Session three is for family members/loved ones of people with a substance abuse or other compulsive behavior.
Double Winners:
If you took sessions one and two, and you are also a family member of someone else in recovery, you are welcome to attend the Family session too! (With or without a family member.)
Note: Family members’ loved ones with addictive behaviors do NOT have to be in recovery for the family member to attend. The program is to address your own self-care as a family member, not to get the other person sober (though in family systems, when one person changes, everything changes).
What will we do?
We will explore the wheel of Mind-Body-Spirit-Community for a holistic view of your recovery process. Dealing mindfully with emotions will be woven throughout these aspects of sober life. This program is trauma-informed.
Each online session will have an informational component from Patricia’s 37 years in the field, plus one or more experiential practices to embody the teachings, and also time for sharing around the circle to access the group wisdom. Personal sharing of participants will not be recorded. Breaks and body-based practices will be included.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
PATRICIA J. STOUT, LCSW
Patricia is most happy to share practices that increase the inner life, including resources like mindfulness, guided imagery, body awareness, energy practices and more.
She believes that recovery is ongoing work, can also be very fun, and is a path to spiritual emergence, sometimes emergency, and ultimately, transcendence.
She has experiential training through Integrative Breathwork intensives since 1989 and the Eupsychia Institute for Well-Being in Austin as well as the School of Spiritual Psychology in Milwaukee. In her own recovery since 1985, she has been honored to receive many teachings and experiences in yoga, Earth-centered practices, and mindfulness practices.
Patricia has work experience in both inpatient and outpatient addiction and mental health facilities. She served as the experiential consulting therapist at Addiction Recovery Resources of New Orleans and at Jolimar Recovery Center in MS. She has brought body-based experiences such as the Labyrinth walk and breath awareness exercises to other recovery centers as well. She presented on Breathwork Journeys, expressive arts, and addiction recovery treatment at the North American Drug and Alcohol Conference.
Patricia is LGBTQ friendly and is familiar with a variety of faiths and also non-religious philosophies that support recovery. Her masters degree is in social work (FSU) with a focus on dual diagnosis and family systems theory, and her bachelors is also in social work. Both of these degrees had inpatient full-time internships.
Patricia has transformed a great deal of her own suffering from adult child issues and from being a teen on the streets. She also has been dedicated to continuing to progress in recovery from codependency, as the wife of a veteran. They have been married 35 years. She is grateful to have the opportunity to share with others these doors and windows to a rich recovery that everyone deserves to enjoy.
