100,000 Poets for Change comes to Abita! All adults and young adults are welcome to attend HER VOICE! presented by the Women's Center, because the time is now for Women’s Voices to change the world!
 
Her Voice! features TedX speaker and award-winning poet from Lafayette, PoeticSoul, aka Alex Johnson, along with local poets reading (mostly) original works that inspire social change.
 
Her Voice! Is one of over 300 events occurring worldwide for the 100,000 Poets for Change movement. Join us and be a part of history!
 
The evening’s presentations will also include local poets Sanna Clark, 
Patricia Stout, DeJeune Richardson, Christa Chautin, Catalina Reyna, Tabitha Burque, Elaine Pote and more!

Held in the Great Room of the Women's Center
located at 71667 Leveson Street, Abita Springs.

This event is open to both Men & Women!
 
Tickets are sliding scale - a donation of $5 to $25 per guest is requested. Your generosity is appreciated!
 
The Women's Center for Healing & Transformation is a 501c3 non-profit organization which depends on donations from people like you to continue to offer the many Groups, Circles, Classes and Events (most of them are pay-as-you-are-able or free) which are currently available as well as those which will be created in the future.
 
***This IS NOT a Child-Friendly event. We are not asking the artists to censor their creations. The content of the poetry to be performed will be socially relevant to current events and may contain adult language.
