Happy Feet ~ Happy Body
Your feet and legs are literally and figuratively your foundation, your connection to the earth. Moving without your shoes on is one of the most freeing and revolutionary elements of Nia. Proven to be one of the most profound choices the modality's co-founders made in 1983, it is a way to ground, center, improve balance and efficiency gracefully and powerfully.

What is Nia?
Nia movement classes combine dance choreography, martial arts movements, and mindfulness techniques, resulting in a revolutionary approach to fitness. Nia’s powerful  synergy between music, movement and philosophy make people feel good and look good. More than a workout!

What to wear and bring:
Dress comfortably in clothing loose enough to allow vigorous movement of arms and legs. Bring water, your curiosity and courage. Be prepared to sweat. And laugh.
Meet Our Guest Teacher:
Julie Wylie combines physiology training, with a passion for advancing self-awareness and holistic body knowledge to inspire herself and others towards feel-better, move-more, right-life choices. Directed back into movement classes by a grief counselor in 2005, Julie finds relief from the daily stresses of life using “movement as medicine.” With over 30 years of movement experience, Julie teaches Nia Technique's holistic workout and lifestyle practice that others may reap the benefits of their own curiosity and tenacity while optimizing their body’s ability to self-heal. A spirited, down to earth teacher by nature, Julie uses wit, authenticity, love and impeccability when guiding classes, events and trainings around the United States.
