Family Constellation Workshop
Sunday, March 10
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Systemic Family Constellations, originally developed by German Psychotherapist, Bert Hellinger, draws on principles he learned while working and living with the Zulu tribe of Africa. Additionally, he drew from the work of Virginia Satir in her Family Sculpting techniques. Constellation work is said to allow for movement in places that have been stuck, helping to release personal challenges, dysfunctional family patterns, and barriers to well-being and productivity.
Findings in epigenetic research show that we can inherit not only our physiology but also certain family behavior patterns from our ancestors. Many of these are beyond conscious awareness but have a profound effect on our lives.
Family Constellations works with group participants as “representatives” in the family system of the person for whom the facilitator is working. Through working with family members and ancestors, as well as experiences or events, a Constellation seeks to discover where the disturbances in the family line occurred, facilitating the family system to move toward wholeness.
Who might benefit from attending?
As mentioned above, Constellation work is said to allow for movement in places that have been stuck, helping to release personal challenges, dysfunctional family patterns and barriers to well-being and productivity. A common question asked by the facilitator is “What is not working in your life?”. If you would like to explore this question in your life, through the lense of your family history and patterns, this workshop is for you.
Who should not attend?
Systemic Family Constellations is not group therapy. While it is often therapeutic in nature, it is not meant as a substitute for individual or group therapy. Therefore, If you recently experienced a traumatic event for which you are not currently receiving therapy, this workshop would not be appropriate. Additionally, Persons with active psychosis as well as other acute mental health or substance use crisis would also not be well suited for this workshop.
Intro price: $50
