Doing the Work Book Study Group
Monthly on 4th Tuesdays
6:30 - 8:30 pm
January 24 - May 23, 2023
PLEASE NOTE: THIS GROUP IS NOW UNDERWAY AND NO LONGER OPEN TO NEW PARTICIPANTS. CLICK HERE TO ADD YOUR NAME TO THE WAITLIST TO BE CONTACTED WHEN A NEW GROUP IS FORMING.
Join us for a 5-month course. This is a hybrid group: meet in person OR on Zoom
Outside of the temple at the Oracle at Delphi (one of the most powerful women of the ancient world) was inscribed the phrase "know thyself". The goal of this group is to go on a pilgrimage within in order that we may know ourselves better.
We seek to cultivate curiosity and compassion for ourselves and others as our understanding of our own context grows.
Participants will practice grounding, centering, connecting, and reflecting as a means of processing personal experience in an objective way. Exploration will include observation of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states.
The group will be guided in this process by the book How to Do the Work by Dr. Nicole LePera (the Holistic Psychologist
on Instagram). Dr. LePera has a group formed called the Self-Healer’s circle, which is waitlisted. She also has a podcast which delves deeper into the chapters in the book.
All of Dr. LePera’s works are available for group members to peruse and learn from, however the focus of the study group is to explore the book a few chapters a month and discuss the processes by which one does the work.
The group will meet one evening a month (January through May) for 2 hours. Scroll down to see the full course outline below.
Prior to attending the first meeting, please obtain a copy of the book and begin reading. One option for book purchase is provided here.
Suggested cost: $50 (Sliding scale $40 - $60 available)
Open to all women; group size is limited to 12 participants.
This group will meet in hybrid format, giving you the option to attend in person OR on Zoom.

This group is not a substitute for therapy. If you are unsure of how to do this, seeking the guidance a licensed therapist
or other mental health professional should always be your first option.

Erica is passionate about personal growth and has a particular interest in all aspects of psychology from developmental to transpersonal. Dr. Nicole LePera’s work has been a great inspiration and source of strength for her. Erica looks forward to creating a space for women to share their experience and practice with the tools and techniques presented in How to Do the Work in order to grow collectively. She is not a therapist, though she does play one in her family.
