Sometimes life can throw all kinds of stressors in our paths: in addition to being in the middle of a pandemic... and please don’t mention a natural disaster that “we” cannot control.

But how are you coping?

Life doesn’t stop for anybody… let’s talk! Come and discover how to keep your cup full with self-care tips along with ways to not let what’s going on around you negatively impact your life. Self-care, the promotion of wellness, and the prevention of burnout are essential for everyone, but especially those working in the mental health profession in order to maintain competence and clinical effectiveness. A realistic and humorous approach to ongoing self-care and the promotion of wellness is presented that participants can integrate into their daily lives, for their own benefit, and for the benefit of their clients.

Learning objectives for this workshop:
  • Attendee will learn self-care tips.
  • Attendee will be able to determine the difference between good and bad stress, and the importance of identifying the two types.
  • Attendee will learn the importance of laughter, how healthy it is for the body and how adding a little humor can reduce stress.
  • Attendee will examine how meeting your needs can reduce stress.
