With all of the current issues on the news regarding sexual assault and sexual abuse, much of it occurring years ago when the victims were children, what can you do to help empower your child(ren) and hopefully prevent the cycle from continuing?
How do you have this conversation with your kids? Are there different types of consent depending on what the context is? For example, are there differences between an interaction with other children at school and an online chatroom while playing a game? What exactly does “consent” mean?
These are concerns that all parents have. Join us for a conversation driven discussion with current information about what consent means, what the law says and typical situations where consent is needed.
This presentation will be given by Amber Picou-Broadnax, Women's Center Co-Director.
