ANNOUNCING CURRENT PROJECTS BY 100 THOUSAND POETS FOR CHANGE:

OPEN MIC EVENTS: 100 TPC will present a series of on-line open mic events (via Zoom). Dates are above and on poster. Contact event hosts for info and to sign up (included below).

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Another of the group’s projects was conceived when attendees of the 100 Thousand Poets for Change 2015 World Conference in Salerno got together recently on Facebook and Zoom to plan a two-volume book to recount their first ten years of existence. Volume one will include essays on ideas, ideals and experiences with 100 TPC.  Volume 2 will include event posters from around the world.  If you have been a participant in 100 TPC, YOU are invited to contribute an essay on your ideas, ideals and experiences! Find more info about the Call for Submissions here.

100 Thousand Poets for Change is a movement that began in March of 2011 to provide a forum for poets, writers, musicians, artists, activists to get together to create and perform, educate and demonstrate, simultaneously, with other communities around the world.

100 Thousand Poets for Change hopes to change how we see our local community and the global community. The group states, “We have all become incredibly alienated in recent years. We hardly know our neighbors down the street let alone our creative allies who live and share our concerns in other countries. We need to feel this kind of global solidarity. It will be empowering.”

100 TPC helps organize by local region, city, or state, and finds individuals in each area willing to organize their local event. Learn more about the local 100 TPC Northshore group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/100ThousandPoetsNorthshore/
