Therapeutic Exercise Class

Picture
Tuesday mornings
8:30 - 9:45 am

With Virginia Davis

In this class, we draw from Yoga, Qigong and the science and physiology of muscles and bone rhythms. We learn to connect the brain, consciousness and nervous system with our muscles, organs and bones with fun and effective exercises. Come have fun with your bones and joints!

Learn a routine that helps to clear the major meridians, release muscles and nourish joints.

The therapeutic exercise class is currently focused on a series of movements that are a blend of Yoga and Qigong. The sequence is called Meridian yoga. This sequence of movements opens all the major meridians and releases muscles. This release allows relaxation of the muscles, which helps chi flow and helps the muscles to become more toned.

The movements are gentle and restorative. This class is good for all ages and fitness levels...all levels from marathon runners to those recovering from surgery can benefit from this class.

We also do some self-massage and breath awareness in the class.
