If you’ve ever thought, “I should probably meditate,” this four-week course may be for you! We will explore mindfulness meditation as a method for working with emotional and physical distress and in deepening joy in everyday life—all with a spirit of levity, curiosity, and compassion.
Each 90-minute class will include a short talk, 2 guided meditation practice, and a question-and-answer period.
Whether you’re a beginner just starting out, or an experienced meditator who wants a refresher and an opportunity to practice in community, please join us for all four nights (and enjoy a reduced rate) or attend only those classes that appeal to you.
Tuesday, 10/15 – Coming Home to the Breath
Thursday, 10/24 – Awakening Peace in the Body
Tuesday, 10/29 – Disentangling from Thoughts
Tuesday, 11/5 – Freedom with Emotions
These classes are open to women of all levels of mindfulness experience. They owe a debt to the Vipassana practices of Theravada Buddhism, however they are non-religious, and draw from various wisdom traditions.
