Picture
Marie has a Master of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. She has been licensed and certified by the Board of Social Work since 1994. Marie has twenty-six years’ experience with school social work in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families. From this work, she is keenly aware that many issues with children can be resolved by the parents doing their own work. Her knowledge of developmental stages in children translated into her work with adults and their inner child.

Marie’s areas of expertise include a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationships, parenting, self-esteem, family issues, life transitions, grief and loss.

Marie uses in her practice Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy and many other therapies to help the client achieve a healthy fulfilling life. She believes that change and growth are possible and that there is always hope for each individual.

Her experience with play therapy, psychodrama, breath and visualization informs her experiential work with individuals.
