Nia: Find Health Through Movement

Picture
Friday, March 3
3:00 - 4:00 pm

Playful. Joyful. Self-Healing.

With Special Guest Nia Teacher Julie Wylie
Based on the simple idea that movement is the medicine of life, Nia is a fun creative pathway to health. It’s adaptable to all ages and physical ability.
Nia reduces stress, energizes and relaxes participants after just the first class. With ease, Nia puts Joy back into fitness!

Nia movement classes combine dance technique with martial arts movements and mindfulness practices from the healing arts. Nia is the first cardio dance workout to bring mindfulness to group exercise. The unique fusion style of this barefoot practice has fundamentally changed lives through its evolutionary approach to fitness and self-healing for nearly 35 years.

This class is suitable to beginner and novice. Learn Nia’s fundamentals and start moving with confidence right away.

“An emotional fitness odyssey, Nia is just plain exhilarating.” —The New York Times

Meet Our Guest Teacher, Julie Wylie
Nia Faculty from Austin, TX
NiaNow.com/Julie-Wylie

Julie Wylie combines physiology training, with a passion for advancing self-awareness and holistic body knowledge to inspire herself and others towards feel-better, move-more, right-life choices. Directed back into movement classes by a grief counselor in 2005, Julie finds relief from the daily stresses of life using “movement as medicine.” With over 30 years of movement experience, Julie teaches Nia Technique's holistic workout and lifestyle practice that others may reap the benefits of their own curiosity and tenacity while optimizing their body’s ability to self-heal. A spirited, down to earth teacher by nature, Julie uses wit, authenticity, love and impeccability when guiding classes, events and trainings around the United States.
